Fat Freezing Aftercare

Before Treatment:

Make sure you have had something light to eat beforehand and wear some loose fitting clothes you don’t mind getting a bit of goo on.


After undergoing a fat freezing treatment it is important to follow certain aftercare guidelines to ensure the best possible results. Here are some general recommendations for fat freezing aftercare:

Massage the treated area(s): Directly after and in the days following fat freezing, a massage of the treated area can help enhance the results. This can be done by applying a reasonable amount of pressure and circular motions for a few minutes, perhaps when you are in the bath or shower and can use the shower gel as a massage medium. You are trying to help the body break down the fat cells so they can be more easily accessed by the specialist white blood cells called macrophages, which consume the dead and dying fat cells and export then to the liver for processing and excretion.

Stay hydrated: It’s important to drink plenty of fluids to help eliminate the fat cells that have been targeted during the treatment. Rather than monitoring the amount you drink, which can be difficult, it’s best to make sure that your wee is always pale yellow or lighter in colour.

Eat healthily and take regular exercise: Fat freezing is not a substitute for a healthy diet and regular exercise. To optimize and maintain your results, continue to follow a balanced diet and exercise regimen.

There is no downtime and no restrictions after treatment. You can go in the sun, go to the gym and take a hot bath without being concerned.
