Buccal Fat Reduction
(Lessening of chubby cheeks)
HIFU can be used to permanently reduce buccal fat. Buccal fat is caused by fat pads in the cheeks leading to a rounded, chubby cheek look. A different, denser protocol is used for buccal fat reduction making this different to a standard HIFU face lift.
Buccal fat pads have traditionally been treated with surgery. It has been suggested that Liam Payne from One Direction had surgical buccal fat reduction, given his recent sculpted look that has been highlighted in the press (see photo, unusually the after is on the left and the before is on the right). However, I have obtained great results reducing the buccal fat on clients with HIFU, although sometimes more than one treatment will be needed depending on the reduction in fat required. Unfortunately the clients who have had this treatment have not given permission for their faces to be used on my website, hence the photo of the dashing Mr Payne instead.
The results progress slowly, with final results taking 3- 6 months to develop, although differences can usually be seen after a few weeks. A second treatment can be performed after at least 6 weeks have past since the initial treatment.
It should be noted that fat freezing is not approved for the reduction of buccal fat, and so it cannot be used as an alternative treatment.
This photo shows Mr Payne after and before his surgical buccal fat reduction. I am offering non-surgical buccal fat reduction using HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound).
