Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid based treatment that is injected just below the skin to not only provide deep hydration to the skin, but also to improve the skin’s strength and elasticity and make it look softer and healthier, smoothing fine lines.

Whilst used most often on the face, the treatment can also be used on the neck, decollete, arms and hands.

How long does it last?

The treatment protocol is to have two treatments about a month apart and the results continue to improve thereafter.  You can then enjoy the benefits of the treatment for up to 6 months or keep them going with a 6 monthly top up.

Is Profhilo a filler?

No, Profhilo hydrates the skin which leads to the creation of new collagen and elastin. It is injected through predefined areas (known as BAP or bio-aesthetic points). It is runnier than filler and causes natural fullness due to its hydrating effects (it is the most concentrated hyaluronic acid available – 1g can hold up to 6 litres of water). It is not used to bulk out specific areas such as deep lines the way filler is, it instead flows beneath the skin to improve the overall area.

Who will benefit from the treatment?

Anyone over the age of thirty. The treatment works particularly well on dehydrated or wrinkled skin, crepey skin on the neck or face, aging hands and crepey arms.
